Can Can is also proud to announce its partnership with Pride Foundation to fundraise throughout the months of June and July. As part of our commitment to supporting our LGBTQ+ community, Can Can has created a special menu with items that will contribute a portion of their sales to Pride Foundation. This fundraising initiative allows us to celebrate and highlight the diversity and beauty of our community while giving back to an essential organization that supports the LGBTQ+ community's education, advocacy, and empowerment. Introducing our Pride Ben-Yays – a delicious treat that is sure to please everyone! These fluffy, golden brown pastries are fried to perfection and then drizzled with a rainbow glaze, creating both a festive look and an explosion of flavors. Chef Jerry Lariz knew there was no better tasty treat than our iconic Ben-Yays to be a highlight this month. “I topped our crispy and fluffy croissant beignets with colored icing, inspired by the Pride flag. I like that it stands for diversity and individuality, so I used the icing to cover each beignet a different color from the flag “ says Lariz. Whether you're celebrating Pride Month or just craving something sweet, Pride Ben-Yays are the perfect addition to any occasion. Trust us, they're bound to be a hit with anyone who tries them.
The celebration doesn't stop there, folks! We’re so lucky to have our cocktail connoisseur, Annie Arrasmith, craft two incredible drinks that embody the spirit of Pride and equality. “Both drinks were designed to highlight the queer community by being eye-catching, tasty, refreshing, sassy, fabulous, and full of love. Making sure they were pink or some variation of was just a no-brainer for a Can Can special!” says Arrasmith.
First up, we have the "Pink with Pride" cocktail. Made with Finlandia vodka, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice, Cocchi Americano, and a touch of edible glitter, this drink is a burst of fruity goodness. The Finlandia vodka provides the perfect buzz, while the raspberry liqueur adds a delightful sweetness to the lemon juice’s refreshing tartness. The Cocchi Americano, an aperitif wine, brings it all together, creating a well-balanced and utterly satisfying concoction. The addition of edible glitter adds that extra touch of sparkle and festivity, making it a drink you won't want to miss.
For those seeking a non-alcoholic option that doesn't compromise on taste, we present the "Love Wins." This refreshing blend is made with Wilderton Lustre, New London Aperitif, lime juice, grapefruit juice, rosemary agave syrup, and a pink salt rim. The Wilderton Lustre is a non-alcoholic spirit infused with Seville orange, tarragon, and lavender, while the New London Aperitif combines hand-picked seaberries and elderberries with the creative use of kelp and pine to create complex and delightful flavors. The lime and grapefruit juices add a tangy twist, complemented by the sweetness of rosemary agave syrup. The pink salt rim not only adds a touch of flavor but also provides a visual contrast that is as pleasing to the eyes as the drink is to the palate.
